Bre
Walters was born and raised in the Heart of the Midwest, Des Moines,
Iowa where she loves spending time with her family, being outdoors,
and acting upon creative impulse. Coming from such strong family roots
and values, the support of her family and the beautiful simplicity that
is prevalent in the Midwestern way of life were destined to becoming
driving forces in Bre's creative inspirations.
Throughout
her life Bre has pursued many areas of design including set design,
murals, and fine art, many of which have been featured in galleries and
competitions. Then in 2010, Bre made the decision to attend the Savannah
College of Art and Design to pursue her passion for Interior Design, a
program which is currently ranked number one in the nation. In the Fall
of 2011, during her sophomore year at SCAD, she was invited to join the
24e DesignCo to expand her knowledge base and gain real world experience
in the Interior Design Industry. Bre is now known fondly by her
coworkers as the Accomplice, and personal assistant, to Ruel Joyner, the
Headmaster of 24e Design Co.
When
Bre isn't busy working in her studio on project for SCAD or working at
24e Design Co she is often out finding inspiration for her design
through the everyday living experience and by observing how people
interact in the spaces they occupy. Or she's playing with her roommate's
cat.
Asked
to define her design philosophy, Bre responded with the following, "[I]
take each design job on as a Role, just like an Actor does. I submerge
myself completely into the design aspect for the client. Though the part
may not always reflect who I am personally, I make it my mission to
perform based on the design aesthetic of my client and the things that
will continue to inspire them, while using my expertise to help guide
them to a space they will love and value for a long time. It's all about
the client and the Role that they bring me to design."
