Over the course of our country's history our economy has evolved around resources, technology, and most importantly the consumer. Being a part of the design community, and also a person in furniture sales, I have observed a shift in what shoppers are looking at as valuable purchases. At the turn of the last century with the Industrial Revolution, our economy was based largely on goods: harvesting them, mining them, and providing them. We moved into providing products as the next step in economic evolution, not only providing raw materials, but then also products made from those goods. Yet another transition point was an advancement from those goods and raw resources to services. We offered experienced personal and professionals that used the products made from the raw goods to provide the customer with a tangible service. And yet again discussions in the corporate, but also design realm, have focused in on another economic transition point. This one being centered around the next step beyond services: experiences. This abstract good can be many things.
For us here at 24e Design Co. this means offering our clients things that they can't get just anywhere. We are a furniture retailer, but more importantly we are a group of designers, all different and passionate, ready to come into your life and help create and bring to fruition what you desire to dwell in. Customers do not come in the door looking for a
sofa; they come in looking for a man cave, or a soft, tranquil retreat to indulge in chocolate and books in! They come ready and willing to receive an experience and a dedicated
design team that can make that happen. The furniture and paint colors are simply a means. I say this not to denote the importance of the product itself, but rather build upon it. We have the product quality and versatility and uniqueness understood. It's how you let us combine these elements to give you that experience you are seeking. I am so passionate and in love with what I do as a sales person and customer consultant at 24e Design Co. I want to sit down and find out what my client desires most, and how I can use my design knowledge to make it a reality.
